An Unexpected Journey

The Fortress of Frazetta.

After Springsteen called his show in Syracuse due to a peptic ulcer, my lady and I found ourselves in Central PA with nothing much to do. We ended up walking hallowed halls and basking in the light of brilliance at the Frazetta Art Museum in East Stroudsburg.

The Flesh Eaters.

I am a lifelong fan of the man, but I’m not unique in that. Due to torrential rain we ended up having the place to ourselves for most of our visit. Frank’s own daughter-in-law showed us around, telling stories and giving each piece context and perspective.

One wall of many.

I’ll be talking about specific pieces and Frank’s massive influence in upcoming posts. It was an experience that I won’t soon forget.
